Shedeur Sanders Reportedly Named To Pro Bowl, Replacing Patriots’ Drake Maye

The New England Patriots are heading to the Super Bowl, which means quarterback Drake Maye won’t be able to compete in the Pro Bowl Games on Feb. 3.

The NFL quickly found a replacement for Maye, as Jordan Schultz reported on Monday that Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders has been added to the Pro Bowl roster.

Sanders completed his rookie season by appearing in eight games, starting in seven of them. He threw for 1,400 yards, recorded seven touchdowns and had 10 interceptions.

With many players opting out of the Pro Bowl due to injury, Sanders was likely one of the AFC’s last remaining hopes.

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen both secured spots on the Pro Bowl roster following the initial voting alongside Maye.

Sanders is the first fifth-round rookie to earn a Pro Bowl selection since wide receiver Puka Nacua of the Los Angeles Rams achieved this feat in 2023. Furthermore, he is the first Browns quarterback to be selected for the Pro Bowl since Derek Anderson in 2008.
