Premier League club fear Tottenham may come calling for their manager

A Premier League side are aware that Tottenham could come calling for their manager if Thomas Frank is dismissed.

While Spurs’ win over Borussia Dortmund ensured that Frank lived to fight another day, reports indicate that the Tottenham boss is still in critical danger of losing his job, especially after the draw to Burnley.

According to reports, Spurs have already identified their top candidates to replace Frank, and one of them is guaranteed to be on the market in the summer.

Tottenham target, Oliver Glasner, has confirmed that he will be leaving Crystal Palace in the summer, but there are fears at Selhurst Park over the Austrian exiting much earlier.

Glasner’s relationship with the Eagles is strained, with the 51-year-old having attacked the club publicly on a couple of occasions this season (The Times).

Journalist Bobby Manzi has revealed that decision makers at the South London club are aware that an approach could soon come from Tottenham fortheir head coach.

Manzi has revealed on the latest episode of GiveMeSport’s Market Madness podcast: “They’re (Palace) aware that Tottenham could come in if they get rid of Thomas Frank, and obviously that would then lead to Palace getting paid for Glasner, and just for the stability where so much is changing, they don’t really want the managers to go in January. So all of these are coming together, and they just don’t want to make that decision.”

Spurs face one Oliver Glasner roadblock

Getting Glasner through the door may not be straightforward for the Lilywhites if they get rid of Frank.

It has been reported by The Independent that Glasner feels he may have better options than Tottenham as he considers his next project.

The same report revealed that Man United are also plotting a move for the Palace boss as they continue to scour the market for Ruben Amorim’s long-term replacement.
