Patriots Send Three-Word Message After Mack Hollins Activation
Mack Hollins was activated off injured reserve after his four-week stint on the injured reserve.
Hollins was placed on the injured reserve with an abdominal injury after the Patriots’ win against the Baltimore Ravens. He returned to practice on Thursday when the Patriots opened his practice window, but was a limited participant.
On Friday, Hollins was a full participant, and Mike Vrabel officially called him questionable to play. With the Patriots activating Hollins onto the 53-man roster, he is expected to make his much-anticipated return to the field against the Denver Broncos. The Patriots sent a message on X after the news became official.
“Mack is back,” the Patriots wrote on X in all caps.
Mack’s return is huge for the offense. Before his injury, he was third on the team in receptions and receiving yards. He had also played a higher percentage of snaps than any of the other Patriots receivers.
His size makes him a huge asset in the run game, but his downfield presence was a huge part of New England’s offense. Against an elite Broncos defense, the Patriots will need all of their weapons back.
Hollins signed a two-year, $8.4 million deal with New England in the offseason. He had 550 receiving yards and two touchdowns in the regular season. Now, he hopes to make an impact in the playoffs.
