Supercomputer predicts how likely Tottenham are to beat Burnley in the Premier League
Opta’s Supercomputer has predicted whether Tottenham Hotspur are expected to build on their win against Borussia Dortmund as they travel to Burnley on Saturday.
Thomas Frank got a temporary reprieve after his side overcame Borussia Dortmund 2-0 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday.
Reports indicate that the Spurs head coach is not out of danger just yet, with the Lilywhites continuing to keep their options open.
Frank conceded that Spurs need to follow up Tuesday’s win with another at Burnley as they get ready to head to Turf Moor.
Tottenham deemed favourites to beat Burnley
The Clarets are currently sitting in the relegation zone, but that does not mean it will be an easy game, as Spurs found out against West Ham United last week.
Opta’s Supercomputer has suggested that Frank’s men go into the clash as favourites, giving them a 45.3 per cent chance of returning with all three points.
Burnley have been given a 29.9 per cent chance of picking up what will be just their fourth win of the Premier League season, while a draw is deemed the least likely result at 24.8 per cent.
Spurs’ injury crisis gives Thomas Frank a major headache
Tottenham already had 13 players missing for the Dortmund clash, and many of them are out with long-term injuries.
To make matters worse, Lucas Bergvall was forced off with an injury on Tuesday and had to be replaced by academy midfielder Jun’ai Byfield, who made his senior debut.
However, the one piece of good news for Frank is that he will have the likes of Mathys Tel, Conor Gallagher, and and Yves Bissouma to call on once again as the Lilywhites return to Champions League action, while the Spurs boss will also be hoping that Pape Sarr is available for selection.
