Man Utd poised to confirm two loan departures who have already played for the first team

0 1

Manchester United are set to take a major decision to send two of their youngsters on loan.

According to The Athletic, United duo Harry Amass and Toby Collyer are set to join Championship clubs Norwich City and Hull City respectively on loan deals for the remainder of the season.

Amass spent the first half of the campaign on loan at Sheffield Wednesday.

It was a successful six-month stint, as he played 21 games and secured back-to-back Player of the Month awards.

The Owls were desperate to have him back for the remainder of the campaign, but United believe that a move to Norwich City would be better for his development.

While Wednesday are set for relegation, Norwich still have hope of maintaining their Championship status.

Amass will have to compete with Benjamin Chrisene for the starting left-back spot.

The 22-year-old is in bright form, having bagged a goal and an assist in the last three games.

Amass made his senior debut for United last year and is considered one of the most talented players at Carrington.

Toby Collyer is the second United player who is now ready to move to a new club on loan.

After making his first-team debut under former manager Erik ten Hag, Collyer has failed to find a permanent spot in the senior set-up.

The midfielder was recalled from his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion at the start of this month.

Collyer managed just 253 minutes across 12 Championship appearances.

The main reason behind his lack of playing time was his persistent injury record.

He is still recovering from a calf issue, but is expected to regain full fitness before the end of this month.

Hull City were keen on securing his signature last summer, but it now looks they will finally have their midfield target in their ranks for the next five months.

The Tigers are mounting a serious challenge for a return to the Premier League, and Collyer will aim to make a positive impact and help take them over the line.
