Red Sox Have Four Representatives On Top 100 Prospects List
The Boston Red Sox were well represented on the latest update to Baseball America’s Top 100 Prospects Rankings.
BA officially unveiled the updated list on Wednesday, with four familiar prospects being listed: No. 17 Payton Tolle, No. 49. Franklin Arias, No. 52. Connelly Early and No. 69. Kyson Witherspoon.
Tolle, 23, quickly rose through the system after originally being drafted in 2024, making it all the way from High-A Greenville to Boston in his first full professional season in 2025. Tolel finished with a 6.06 ERA during seven total appearances in the big leagues, with his overpowering fastball serving as his calling card moving forward.
Arias, 20, is a recent international free agent signing who has established himself as the top position player in the system — finishing last season with a .261/.250/.435 slash line, two home runs and two doubles for Double-A Portland.
Early, 23, was superb in his short stint in the big leagues, finishing with a 2.33 ERA across four starts — even earning the start in Game 3 of the American League Wild Card Series against the New York Yankees.
Witherspoon, 21, was the club’s first-round pick in last summer’s draft and has yet to make his professional debut.
