Bundesliga star offered to Tottenham, he has more goals than any Spurs winger

0 1

Tottenham Hotspur have been offered the chance to sign a Bundesliga wide-man, who has six goals and three assists to his name this term.

Conor Gallagher has become Tottenham’s first signing of the summer, and another one is expected through the door shortly, with Souza set to be announced as a Spurs player.

Spurs have been linked with a whole host of wingers over the last few weeks, and one man has seemingly emerged as their top option.

Several sources have claimed over the past few days that Tottenham are now pressing ahead with a move for Monaco’s Maghnes Akliouche, but another Bundesliga star has now been offered to the Lilywhites.

Tottenham offered an opportunity to sign Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi

It was reported a couple of days ago that Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi had emerged as a target for Tottenham.

Journalist Dean Jones has now revealed that Adeyemi has been offered as an option to the Premier League side.

However, he suggested that the Lilywhites prefer to sign a versatile attacker who can operate in multiple positions, such as Akliouche.

Jones said on TEAMtalk’s latest Facebook live broadcast: “I think they want somebody that perhaps can play on both sides, maybe even across the three positions. Maghnes Akliouche from Monaco is undoubtedly someone that they like. They’ve been scouting him regularly.

“Christos Tzolis is definitely a target. They’ve looked at a few Man City players; Oscar Bobb is probably the one Man City player that could be up for grabs. I’m not convinced that that’s where they’re turning right now.

“I’ve heard whispers about Karim Adeyemi being offered to them. I think he’s going to be pricey, and I don’t know whether he’s exactly the right fit for what they want.”

Graeme Bailey urges Spurs to avoid signing Karim Adeyemi

Graeme Bailey has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur would be making a mistake if they go for the Dortmund star, pointing out that they already have a couple of players in the German international’s mould. He suggested that Akliouche or Tzolis would be a much better option for Spurs.

Reacting to Jones’ statement about Adeyemi, Bailey said: “They’ve just been down that route with Kolo Muani and Tel. I’m not saying they’ve been disasters, they haven’t, but it hasn’t quite worked out for them. An Akliouche or a Tzolis makes so much sense in the long term.”

Jones then added: “That is what they’re trying to do. They’re trying to find that mix now of players with a high ceiling but they do want players who are a little bit proven. With Gallagher, that’s exactly what you’ve got.”
