Or, most crazy of all, Ronnie Ekelund literally doing a lap of honour during a home game to announce his signing and then disappearing after and ghosting everybody at the club.

Yes, I remember at the time being really confused what had gone on - at least now with the internet you do have some idea fairly quickly. Rather than wondering why we had a new signing parade around the pitch then a week later the local paper tells you what happened.

Even got as far as picking his next game.

That game was peak Baz. From memory we’d played Derby mid week. I was away at college but managed to go to both games that week. On the Sunday, despite having gone to the previous game, I realised I had no idea who 3 of our players were (pre internet and no evening mail where I lived).

It was genuinely hard to keep track of comings and goings under Fry.
