Atletico Madrid striker Raspadori snubs Roma to join Atalanta
Reports in Italy claim that Atletico Madrid striker Giacomo Raspadori will join Atalanta on a permanent deal exceeding €22m.
Italy international Raspadori is set to join Atalanta on a permanent transfer from Atletico Madrid.
Raspadori set for Atalanta move
Sky Sport Italia and Gazzetta are among the Italian sources reporting that the ex-Napoli striker has snubbed a move to Roma, deciding to join Atalanta instead.
According to Gazzetta, it’s a permanent deal worth €22m, while Sky claims that the transfer is worth circa €25m.
Roma had reportedly reached an agreement with Atletico Madrid over an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy tied to certain conditions, but the player had put talks with the Giallorossi on hold.
Raspadori returns to Italy
Napoli were also said to be interested in their former striker, while Lazio’s president Claudio Lotito denied interest in the Italian forward.
According to reports, Raspadori’s move to Atalanta is a done deal, pending medical tests so the 25-year-old will return to Italy after barely six months at Atletico, where he scored two goals and provided three assists in 15 appearances across all competitions.
