Tottenham in four-horse race to sign exciting 19-year-old winger for bargain £5.2m fee
Tottenham Hotspur are turning their attention to a young Nigerian winger, but they face competition from across the continent for his signature.
We have heard over recent weeks that Spurs are keen on landing a big-name winger this month and are keeping tabs on a whole host of top players.
It turns out that the Lilywhites are also big fans of a teenage talent who is making a name for himself in the Slovakian top-flight.
It emerged a few months ago that Tottenham have enquired about AS Trencin winger Sani Suleiman, after first spotting him in the U20 World Cup.

The 19-year-old has gone from strength to strength over the last few months, having seven goal contributions to his name in 14 appearances for Trencin this term.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has now taken to social media to reveal that Tottenham Hotspur are battling Eintracht Frankfurt, Anderlecht and Sevilla for Suleiman.
Jacobs asserts that the Nigerian U20 winger, who is posting extremely impressive ball-carrying numbers, is available for €6m (£5.2m) this month.
He wrote on X: “Understand 19-year-old winger Sani Suleiman is drawing interest from Spurs, Frankfurt, Anderlecht and Sevilla. No teenager from outside Europe’s big-five leagues has more progressive ball carries per 90 minutes this season (5.54). Slovak side AS Trenčín want around €6m.”

It was previously reported that Tottenham have extensively scouted Suleiman and have been impressed by his displays.
The Spurs target sits in sixth place in CIES Football Observatory’s list of Top 10 U20 performers globally, just behind the likes of Lamine Yamal and Yan Diomande.
While there is no doubting Suleiman’s raw talent, one would think that he would be one for the future rather than a player who is immediately expected to start for Tottenham if he arrives through the door.
