QUEEN’S PARK FC is delighted to confirm the addition of Ricki Lamie to the first-team squad.
Ricki joins on a six month contract, having spent the first half of the season registered to Hamilton Academical in William Hill League One.
The experienced defender will be in the frame for Tuesday’s KDM Evolution Trophy match with Forfar.
Ricki said: “I’m really pleased to sign for Queen’s Park and return to the club. I spent a short spell on loan in 2013 and am pleased to be back. A lot has changed!
“I’ve been training away and I am really looking forward to getting back on the pitch – this is an exciting place to be. There are lots of games coming thick and fast in a tight schedule so I am looking forward to playing again.
“I know both the head coach and assistant Jim Duffy from our time together at Morton and we had a good time, winning a title.
“I look forward to getting back out onto the pitch and helping the team in the league and across both cup competitions.”
Head coach Sean Crighton added: “Ricki adds presence and experience to our young group and has a strong background at this level in the Championship and in the Premiership.
“His background speaks for itself with the level he has competed at and I know his qualities only too well from playing beside him during my career.
“Since we lost Charlie Fox to injury on November 1 I have been on the lookout to strengthen this area and add competition.
“The players who stepped in certainly stepped up and we now have good competition in this area as we head into a busy schedule in three competitions over the next two months.
“Ricki is available to play in them all which is a big bonus for signings at this stage of the season.”
