Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh Praises Patriots Ahead Of Playoff Game

Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh has plenty of praise for the New England Patriots.

The Chargers will go on the road to play the Patriots in the Wild Card round on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. New England finished as the No. 2 seed in the AFC, and Harbaugh had plenty of praise for the Patriots.

“14-3,” Harbaugh said postgame on Sunday, via the team’s website. “Going 14-3 in this league … that’s really impressive. Good football team.”

Harbaugh, meanwhile, said right when Sunday’s game ended, the focus turned to the Patriots and the playoff game.

“New England, all focus needs to be on that,” Harbaugh added. “That’s the type of game that does define your season. Put our focus and attention is on that.”

The Patriots are led by Drake Maye, who’s an MVP-caliber quarterback, and the Chargers know stopping him, and the offense is easier said than done.

Yet, Chargers star pass rusher Khalil Mack said the team already started watching film on Maye and the Patriots on the plane ride back.

“Getting ready for an MVP-caliber QB coming up this next week,” Mack said, via The Athletic.

New England is a 3.5-point favorite at home against the Chargers on Sunday. Kick-off is set for 8 p.m. ET.
