Inter have verbal agreement over Cancelo swap deal with Al-Hilal
Reports in Italy claim that Inter now have an agreement in place with Al-Hilal over a deal for full-back Joao Cancelo, which involves a current Nerazzurri defender moving in the opposite direction.
The Nerazzurri have been on the lookout for a new wing-back to add to Cristian Chivu’s ranks following the long-term injury to Denzel Dumfries.
They have been linked with a move for their former loanee, Cancelo, who could leave Al-Hilal this month and has also attracted interest from Barcelona.
Sky: Inter and Al-Hilal have Cancelo agreement
According to updates from Sky Sport Italia on Monday, Inter have a verbal agreement with Al-Hilal over a deal for Cancelo.
The deal would reportedly involve either Stefan De Vrij or Francesco Acerbi moving in the opposite direction. That would bring a reunion with former Nerazzurri head coach Simone Inzaghi.
The next step for Inter is to get Cancelo himself to agree to the move. The 31-year-old has reportedly asked for another day or two to make up his mind.
Sky claims that Cancelo’s preferred move would be a return to Barcelona, but it remains to be seen whether the Blaugrana will be able to come to an agreement with Al-Hilal.
