I wonder, how many of us would have taken being 6 points off the play offs in the Championship at the half way point, a year ago today?
We’d just beaten Crawley away, another game we’d struggled to break a stubborn team down with a bit of quality from Jay. A routine Boxing Day victory at home, then 2 frustrating draws in a row.
It’s only really the external hype around the club that’s causing such frustration currently in my opinion. Not the clubs fault to proactively say promotion is the goal, around 16 other clubs (if not more) would also say the same. The media hyped us massively and I got a bit carried away thinking we’d be better than current but it is only half way…and look at the second half of last season vs the first…
