Report: Fenerbahce join race for Inter midfielder Frattesi
Davide Frattesi’s future at Inter is once again under the spotlight as the January transfer window approaches, with interest now emerging from Turkey.
According to reports from SportMediaset, Fenerbahce have joined the race to sign the Italian, with a reported €40m offer ready and waiting to send to Lombardy.
The Italy international has struggled to establish himself as a regular starter this season, and the expected breakthrough under Cristian Chivu has yet to materialise.
Frattesi heads for Inter door after disappointing season
Fitness issues disrupted Frattesi’s preparation over the summer, and his role has remained limited, prompting growing speculation that the Nerazzurri could be open to a sale midway through the campaign.
The club are understood to value Frattesi in the €30-35 million range, viewing a potential departure as a way to generate funds for their own January business. Several Italian clubs continue to monitor the situation, but the Nerazzurri are reluctant to strengthen domestic rivals.
Luciano Spalletti is reportedly keen on bringing Frattesi to Juventus, while Napoli and Roma have also registered interest. However, Inter’s preference would be to sanction a move abroad rather than within Serie A.
That scenario has put Fenerbahce firmly into the picture. The Istanbul side are in the market for a statement signing in midfield and are reportedly prepared to invest up to €40 million, a figure that would comfortably exceed Inter’s valuation.
