The Everton Forum • Re: Rate the Toffee - #3 David Unsworth
A 7 for me, loved Rhino, great when he burst on the scene. If I remember correctly he made his debut at white heart lane and scored a screamer (could easily be very wrong).
Tough as nails when he went rampaging down the left wing, I remember a game against Chelsea at Goodison, and late on there was a 30-70 in their winger’s favour, took the ball clean as a whistle and their lad 6 foot in the air. And who can forget that goal against Fulham.
A very underrated full back, not so as a centre back, although he was immense alongside Waggy in 94-95.
Avery cool penalty taker, and scored some great goals.
Don’t remember him being at Burnley, just the one season at West Ham and the one week at Villa before Mrs Unsworth changed his mind to come back to us.
Evertonian through and through.
