Juventus close in on Ottolini appointment after Genoa contract resolution

Juventus are set to finalise the appointment of Marco Ottolini as their new sporting director after the executive formally resolved his contract with Genoa.

According to reports from Tuttomercatoweb, Ottolini has completed the termination of the agreement that still contractually tied him to Genoa, despite his operational departure from the club having taken place several weeks ago.

The move represents a key formal step that clears the way for his imminent arrival in Turin.

Ottolini close to Juventus appointment

With the bureaucratic process now concluded, Ottolini is expected to sign with Juventus and begin work immediately, with a particular focus on the upcoming January transfer window. The Bianconeri are keen to have their new sporting director fully operational as the mid-season market approaches.

Juventus’ planning for January is already underway, and Ottolini’s early involvement would allow him to take an active role in both squad management and longer-term strategic decisions.

It has also not been ruled out that Ottolini could already be present at the club’s official team dinner scheduled for this evening at the J Museum.

The event is expected to be attended by senior figures within the club, including Exor CEO John Elkann, underlining the importance of the moment as Juventus prepare to usher in a new phase of sporting leadership.
