Thomas Frank provides Tottenham injury update for Christmas Crystal Palace clash

0 5

Thomas Frank has delivered a fresh injury update on the availability of his Tottenham squad for the upcoming trip to face Crystal Palace.

Tottenham Hotspur suffered their seventh defeat of the season last time out against Liverpool in the Premier League at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It was a clash that showed promise, with Spurs displaying significant fight despite being reduced to nine men after red cards were shown to Xavi Simons and Cristian Romero; however, the numerical disadvantage ultimately proved too much to overcome.

The late goal from Richarlison was not enough to see the nine men under Thomas Frank take a point in the 2-1 loss, and the attention of the squad must now turn immediately to the next Premier League fixture against Crystal Palace.

Following their red cards against Liverpool, Thomas Frank is set to be without Simons and Romero for this encounter.

The former is expected to miss the next three outings, while the Argentina international will miss just this clash against Crystal Palace after picking up two bookings.

These suspended stars join a significant list of absentees, including James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, and Dominic Solanke, all of whom are currently sidelined and will miss the upcoming match as they continue their respective recoveries.

Meanwhile, Radu Dragusin and Kota Takai are yet to feature for the first team despite featuring in a behind-closed-doors clash during the last international break.

Ahead of the weekend’s clash, Thomas Frank has now provided an update on the condition of his Spurs squad. He told the official Tottenham media team: “Team news is the same as before the Liverpool game. Everyone that was available then are available for the Crystal Palace game.”
