There's 1 College Football Playoff Game, 2 Bowl Games Today - Here's The Schedule

0 0

The college football bowl season rolls on with two more bowl games and the first College Football Playoff game of the 2025 season set for Friday, Dec. 19.

Two key bowl games will serve as an appetizer for college football fans before Oklahoma hosts Alabama in a rematch of a thrilling 23-21 regular season win for the Sooners. The winner of tonight's game between Alabama and Oklahoma will move on to face the No. 1 seed Indiana Hoosiers and Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Fernando Mendoza.

Kalen DeBoer Can't Escape Michigan Rumors

Alabama head coach Kalen DeBoer has been linked to the Michigan opening ever since the program decided to fire head coach Sherrone Moore for cause. DeBoer has openly denied interest in the position several times, but was asked once again this week if he'd be the head coach at Alabama in 2026.

"My family loves living here. Just all the things that we continue to build on. I love the progress. I haven't talked with anyone. No plans of talking with anyone. I think that's a lot of what I said a couple weeks ago, and continues to be the same thing. Feel strong about it," DeBoer said this week.

Despite his continued commitment to Alabama, Fox Sports insider Bruce Feldman suggested the temperature could change if DeBoer and the Crimson Tide lose to the Sooners tonight.

"What I've heard is that [DeBoer] does like it at Alabama and I know the AD (athletic director Greg Byrne) really likes him and the leadership likes him and thinks he's the guy they want to lead the program," Feldman said. "But if they lose, man, I wonder if that changes the calculus for a lot of people — including DeBoer."
