Wider point really is the fully integrated publicly run transit system to get more people out of their cars especially if they are making trips across town from one inner suburb area to another.
The sports quarter given its inner city location is going to absolutely need to get 50% of current inner city incidental motor vehicle journeys to be switched to rapid, efficient and reliable transit journeys on major events days. Small Heath to Bearwood and Balsall Heath to Erdington etc... should incur punishing levy's if people drive between such locations without passengers. Car pool lanes etc... Take to the water...
