‘He’ll never give up’ – Friend of Tottenham player backs him to succeed after slow start
A source close to a Tottenham man, who arrived at the club in the summer, has spoken about the player’s state of mind and his determination to prove his worth.
The number nine role has been an unexpected subject of headache for Thomas Frank this season, due to the injury issues that Dominic Solanke and Randal Kolo Muani have experienced.
Despite their rare flashes of brilliance, neither Richarlison nor Mathys Tel have made their spot their own.
Kolo Muani was forced to withdraw from the France squad earlier this month after suffering a broken jaw against Man United, but the forward has set his sights on a big goal at the end of this campaign.
Randal Kolo Muani is ‘determined’ to prove his quality
A report by Le Parisien, (as relayed by Foot01) takes a look at the 26-year-old’s struggles since he left Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023.
They point out that he has never managed to fulfil his potential since, with a modest return of nine goals and six assists in his first season at PSG, and subsequently failing to set the world alight during his loan spell at Juventus last term.
They say that Kolo Muani’s situation has not improved at Tottenham, with injuries limiting the striker’s minutes for the Premier League outfit.
However, a source close to the player insists that the difficulties have not dampened the Frenchman’s determination, with the striker keen on making the Les Blues squad for next summer’s World Cup.
The source, who is described as being a ‘close friend’ of the Tottenham man, is quoted as saying: “He’s been through so much, whether with Paris or the French national team in the World Cup final. When he rises from the ashes, it’s going to hurt. He’ll never give up.”
Kolo Muani has a point to prove against PSG
Kolo Mauni is expected to start for Tottenham against PSG, with UEFA’s rules allowing on-loan players to play against their parent clubs.
The striker will certainly have a point to prove to Luis Enrique, who has shipped up out on loan for two consecutive seasons.
He will know that the eyes of the French public and Didier Deschamps will be on him on Wednesday, and he will want to make it count.
Tottenham fans will be hoping that Kolo Muani, who is still waiting for his first Spurs goal, takes his frustrations out on the Parisians.
