Elias Lindholm Discusses Return To Bruins’ Lineup

The Boston Bruins got forward Elias Lindholm back in the lineup on Sunday.

Before the Bruins’ road game against the San Jose Sharks on Sunday, Lindholm was activated off injured reserve. The forward had been out since Oct. 30 due to a lower-body injury.

In Boston’s 3-1 loss to the Sharks on Sunday, Lindholm had 15:41 of ice time, and he felt good to be back in the lineup.

“It was good to be back,” Lindholm said on Sunday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “It was one of those games where you just try to get the rhythm going and do the best you can. Happy to get one out of the way for sure.”

Although Lindholm failed to record a point, he was pleased with his play and believes it’s something he can build on.

However, Lindholm was frustrated with the team’s play as he felt the team took too many penalties, which hindered the Bruins’ chances.

“We just took too many penalties,” Lindholm said. “I thought we played well in the second there, had all the momentum, and then took too many penalties. Just killed us a little bit. After that, I don’t know, too many penalties. It is hard to win games in this league when you’re in the box that much.”

Boston is now 13-10-0 and will return to the ice on Wednesday on the road against the New York Islanders.
