Patriots’ Drake Maye Reacts To Injuries To Will Campbell, Jared Wilson

The New England Patriots suffered a pair of serious blows on Sunday.

Will Campbell (knee) and Jared Wilson (ankle) were both carted to the locker room amid the club’s victory over the Cincinnati Bengals — with the neither being able to return despite initially being ruled as questionable.

Mike Vrabel didn’t provide much in terms of an update following the game. Drake Maye, however, shared a few words about his rookie offensive linemen during his postgame press conference.

“Shoot, I love those guys, man. They’re gonna be alright… I love those guys,” Maye said, per team-provided video. “Will and Jared, they’ve meant a lot to me… It hurts. It’s disappointing, man.”

Campbell was not seen during the media access portion of locker room availability. Wilson, however, was seen wearing a walking boot and using a crutch. Brenden Schooler also injured his ankle, and was seen with the same setup.

The Patriots are expected to receive more substantial updates on those three when they return to Gillette Stadium on Monday.
