Thought I would leave it a bit before commenting on the new stadium.
My first reaction, like a few others, was "what the hell is that" and "oh no they've ballsed it up"; I was taken aback and couldn't quite get my head around it.
It has grown on me, the silhouette especially, I'm still not totally sure about the chimneys, I think the tallest chimneys are the issue, they are slightly too tall compared to the others, I thought that they are almost like two big middle fingers up to everyone who isn't Blues. They won't reduce them in height unless planning tell them too, as the highest bar in Brum is a big selling point.
From ground level I really like the arches as entrances, hopefully the detailing is kept and isn't "value engineered".
Internally it looks fantastic, although I'm not a fan of the walkway below the third tier at each end, I would rather we had a wall like Tottenham's than Everton's.
Overall it's great, but needs some refining to improve certain things, I doubt much value engineering will happen as KH wouldn't want that.
Just want them to get on with it now.
