Official: Rowe out for 3 weeks with injury, confirm Bologna
The bad injury news just keeps piling up for Bologna, as the club confirmed Jonathan Rowe will be out for three weeks.
The Rossoblu beat Napoli 2-0 at the weekend in Serie A to climb the table, but it came at a huge cost for the squad.
Goalkeeper Lukasz Skorupski will be out of action for circa 45 days with a medium-high grade lesion of the flexor in the right thigh.
Rowe added to growing Bologna injury list
Now a statement from the medical staff also announced that winger Rowe will was diagnosed with a low grade lesion of the femoral bicep in the right leg.
The verdict is that he will be sidelined for around three weeks.
It is a blow for the 22-year-old England Under-21 international, who had started the season with Olympique Marseille.
He was frozen out of the squad following a locker room brawl with then-teammate Adrien Rabiot, and sold to Bologna for €17m plus bonuses on August 24.
Rowe has made only nine competitive appearances in the Bologna jersey between Serie A and the Europa League, starting just four of those games.
The forward is yet to make a single goal contribution.
