Drake Maye Sees MVP Odds Spike After Performance Vs. Falcons

Drake Maye showcased his talent once again on Sunday, delivering an impressive performance as the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 24-23.

Maye passed for 259 yards, connecting on two touchdowns and an interception. His performance significantly boosted his odds in the race for the NFL’s MVP.

As Sunday’s game drew near, sportsbooks gave Maye +500 odds to clinch the MVP, putting him behind Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen. However, the tide turned on Sunday, and Maye’s odds improved to +400, making him the second favorite for MVP, trailing Allen, who sits at +150 according to FanDuel.

After a tough 28-21 loss to the Bills on Sunday, Mahomes’ odds slipped to +430, following a performance in which he threw for 250 yards but didn’t record any touchdowns.

For Maye to have a strong chance at winning MVP, the Patriots will probably need to secure either the No. 1 or No. 2 seed in the AFC. This likely means he’ll have to win over the Bills once more.

Maye and the Patriots will face the Bills on Dec. 14 in Foxborough. If New England secures a victory, the win could boost Maye’s MVP chances while potentially dropping Allen’s odds, depending on how both players perform.
