Michael O'Brien's Super 25 high school football rankings for Week 11

Jonas Williams is back. Lincoln-Way East’s star quarterback returned from injury and led the Griffins to a 45-0 rout of Stevenson in the first round of the Class 8A playoffs on Friday.

With Williams back at the helm, Lincoln-Way East vaulted up the rankings. The Griffins slot in at No. 3 this week. They knocked off No. 4 Maine South 40-0 this season in Park Ridge, so that seems like an appropriate spot.

The Super 25 teams were successful all around the area in the first round of the playoffs, so there isn’t much movement in the rankings. York falls out after losing to Lyons.

That opened up one spot, which went to Lincoln-Way West. The other contenders were Bolingbrook, Lockport, Oswego and Richards.

Reach out and let me know about the crowds if you went to a game this weekend. From what I’ve heard, Halloween affected a lot of games. Crowds sounded down on Saturday too, and I don’t know what reason there would be for that. I was over at Mount Carmel and the crowd wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t nearly as big as some other games I’ve attended there this season.
