Demario Douglas Drops Truth Bomb On Patriots Fans After Latest Win
The New England Patriots remained one of the hottest teams in the NFL in Week 8, as they earned a 32-13 victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday afternoon. It was a great for the team and its fans, and after the game, wide receiver Demario Douglas kept it real when discussing the Patriots fanbase.
It hasn’t necessarily been the best season for Douglas, but he’s settled into his role as a secondary playmaker in New England’s passing attack, and he’s come on strong as of late. Against the Browns, Douglas had just one catch, but he made it count, as he ripped off a 44-yard gain to help pick up a crucial third-down conversion.
Individual statistics are nice, but at the end of the day, Douglas and his teammates want to win, regardless of whether or not they put up big numbers. And for the first time in a couple of years, the team is winning games at a consistent rate.
During his first two years in the league, Douglas didn’t experience much winning with the Patriots, meaning he didn’t get to see the team’s fanbase at full force. Now, he’s getting to see what New England fans can be like when their favorite team wins, and it’s a feeling that Douglas is enjoying.
“It feels good getting that dub, especially at home and seeing the fans lit, turnt,” Douglas said after the game. “I love seeing that. I haven’t seen that for two years. The fans, they probably drunk right now.”
The vibes are high in Foxboro, MA, and for good reason. With a 6-2 record, the Patriots are sitting atop the AFC East division, and their five-game win streak is the longest active streak in the league currently. With each passing victory, the excitement surrounding this team grows more and more.
New England can’t get caught up in what it has done so far, though, because there’s still a lot of work to do in order for the team to accomplish its main goals. The Pats will look to continue their winning ways in Week 9 when they take on the Atlanta Falcons.
