£71m star rejected four Premier League giants before sealing dream Man United move

0 7

Manchester United star Bryan Mbeumo is enjoying a fantastic start to his life in Manchester.

The £71 million summer signing from Brentford has wasted no time proving his worth at Old Trafford.

His transfer saga dragged on for over a month, with the Bees repeatedly hiking their asking price as negotiations with United became a test of patience.

Reliable insider Sully Talkz has now revealed that Mbeumo rejected transfers to Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United to complete a dream move to Old Trafford.

He was reportedly “sold” on the project after several Zoom meetings with manager Ruben Amorim, during which the Portuguese coach presented his vision for the player, both short and long term.

Brentford kept increasing their asking price as Tottenham showed willingness to go above United’s bid.

However, Mbeumo told Tottenham and the other three clubs that he had his heart set on a move to United.

Ultimately, Brentford had to give in and sanction his departure.

Mbeumo has already bagged 5 goals and one assist in ten games.

He has forged a devastating partnership with Amad Diallo down the right flank, a duo that has tormented defences with pace and relentless energy.

With Diallo hugging the touchline, Mbeumo’s ability to cut inside and attack central spaces creates nightmares for opposition left-backs and centre-halves.

Amorim has set up his team to make the most of transitions, and Mbeumo has become their most potent attacker.

His movement in behind defenders has been razor-sharp, something United have missed over the last few years.

Early signs suggest he could be United’s best signing of the post–Sir Alex Ferguson era, second only to Bruno Fernandes.
