Mike Vrabel Raves About Myles Garrett After Patriots Beat Browns
The New England Patriots dominated the Browns, winning 32-13 on Sunday. However, Myles Garrett stood out for Cleveland and made quite an impact despite the loss.
The 29-year-old pass rusher recorded five sacks on Sunday, and New England’s head coach, Mike Vrabel, is happy he won’t have to see Garrett anytime soon.
“Just size, speed, athleticism, and having watched him last year, it’s impressive, and it’s hard,” Vrabel said on Sunday. “We’re trying to chip him, and he Gumbys around one guy and then speed bursts the other guy. He’s just an elite athlete with a tremendous skill set.
“I’m glad that we don’t play him twice every year unless we’re both in the playoffs. He’s just a dynamic player, and they do a nice job with him. He certainly impacts a lot of football games.”
Garrett has recorded 11.5 sacks against teams coached by Vrabel, including 6.5 sacks in three games during Vrabel’s time with the Tennessee Titans.
Despite Garrett’s impressive performance, the Patriots still gained 422 yards. If New England can score 32 points against one of the NFL’s best defenses while Garrett had five sacks, it can compete with anyone.
