Queen's Park confirm six loan deals for Under-19s squad Players

QUEEN’S PARK can confirm loan deals for six players in our under-19s squad.

The group – Leo Clark, Connor Falls, Ollie Fisher, Kai Williamson, Daniel Matheson and Leo Fisher – will continue to play and train
with Charley King’s unbeaten squad which currently leads the CAS Advanced Youth League.

They will also link up with teams in the Lowland League and West of Scotland League for further football development in training and Saturday matchdays.

Forward Falls joined Cumbernauld Colts and has already made two appearances for the Lowland League side – once in the South Challenge Cup.

Leo Clark has also moved to the Lowland League, and joined Gretna.

His namesake Fisher has made a much shorter trip and signed with our neighbours Rutherglen Glencairn in the West of Scotland Premier Division until January.

The former Rangers youth defender made his Glens debut against Rossvale in the Scottish Communities Cup last weekend.

He is joined at The Hamish B Allan Stadium by Daniel Matheson, while Ollie Fisher has joined Cumnock and Kai Williamson moves to Thorn Athletic.

Each will work with their new teams and team-mates as well as train regularly with the Spiders under-19s and fulfil fixtures within the CAS system until January.

Coach Charley King said: “We’ve loaned out the older boys in the squad to get them some more minutes at various clubs.

“We’ll re-assess the deals individually in January but we feel this will benefit each of them in playing on a Saturday rather than training as we currently do – but they will still be available to us during the week in the CAS Advanced League.

“Some of the other players not being loaned out qualify for the under-17s so they will pick up more match minutes with the 17s on a Friday to supplement their league matches each Tuesday.

“All the boys had input on where they moved to and we are really pleased with each deal and grateful to the clubs co-operating with us.

“It’s now up to the players to go and make an impact at a first-team level where they must fight for a place in the team. It will be a good experience for each of them.”

All at Queen’s Park FC wishes the players well as they add to their football development.
