Jeremy Swayman Has High Praise For Bruins Despite Tough Road Loss

Boston Bruins goalie Jeremy Swayman believes the team has all the tools to be elite.

The Bruins entered the season with a goal of securing a playoff spot, and they got off to a hot start. However, on Saturday, the Bruins suffered a 4-1 road loss to the Colorado Avalanche, one of the best teams in the NHL.

Despite the loss, Swayman was impressed with Boston’s effort and is confident the Bruins will be an elite team.

“Everyone in here does their job to the best of their abilities, and that’s why I believe in this team so much because we have such quality human beings, great hockey players,” Swayman said on Saturday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “I know this is going to turn because the positivity we keep in this locker room, the belief we keep in this locker room. We see spurts in these games that we can be an elite hockey team. It will turn.”

Although the Bruins did lose, Swayman believes there are positives the team can take away.

“If we stick to our game plan we can hang with any team in this league as well,” Swayman said.

Swayman finished the game with 34 saves on 37 shots in the loss, as the Bruins fell to 3-3-0 on the year.

Boston will get a chance to turn the page right away when it faces the Utah Mammoth on the road on Sunday.
