Thomas Frank reveals one power that will remain his at Tottenham despite Fabio Paratici return

0 10

Tottenham Hotspur are continuing to evolve behind the scenes, and Thomas Frank has now shed light on the latest structure that will shape the club’s transfer dealings going forward.

Tottenham Hotspur have been undergoing several changes in recent weeks, which date back to the summer, when Thomas Frank replaced Ange Postecoglou.

That very change has led to a series of others within the club, and Frank is probably used to it at this point.

Daniel Levy’s shock departure now seems like ages ago, with Tottenham announcing the reappointment of Fabio Paratici on Wednesday, with the Italian taking the role of Sporting Director.

That means Frank now has both Johan Lange and Paratici to discuss transfers with, and he has opened up on what it has been like working under that structure.

Thomas Frank speaks on Fabio Paratici’s return and new Tottenham structure

Speaking to the official Tottenham channel, Thomas Frank shared his thoughts on the return of Fabio Paratici and how the new structure will work moving forward.

He expressed confidence in the setup and noted that it mirrors what he experienced during his time at Brentford.

“Positive about the return of Fabio. Obviously, he worked as a consultant for the club, so I have met him a few times over the last few months. I am looking forward to working together.

“I am in no doubt that we will all create a good team. I am used to working with two sporting directors – I did so at Brentford. I think you need two sporting directors now. I think they will complement each other well.

“I was very positive about it. It will work very well. Their abilities will complement each other very well. It is the perfect match.”

Frank on teamwork in Spurs transfer decisions

Tottenham fans have since expressed their excitement at the return of Paratici, with many supporters sharing the same sentiment as Frank.

The Tottenham boss also spoke about how he, Paratici and Lange will handle transfer decisions, stressing that although discussions will be collaborative, the final choice must always feel right for everyone involved.

“I always have the final say. You know that in the end… No, it is teamwork. The three of us need to agree, but if one of us disagrees and it is very, very strong, it is probably not the right player,” he said to the club’s media.
