Casey Mittelstadt Explains Why Bruins Are Excited For Upcoming Road Trip

The Boston Bruins will have their first true road trip of the season.

Boston opened its season on the road against the Washington Capitals before playing three straight home games. The Bruins are set to kick off a three-game Western Conference road trip that begins on Thursday against the Vegas Golden Knights. Boston will also play the Colorado Avalanche and the Utah Mammoth.

Ahead of the road trip, Bruins forward Casey Mittelstadt said he’s looking forward to it, as road trips are a good chance for the team to bond and come together.

“A lot of new guys and new faces this year,” Mittlestadt said on Monday, as seen on NESN’s postgame coverage. “It will be fun to get on the road. Obviously, not a much better place to bond than Las Vegas. It should be a good time, very important games at the same note. We’re looking forward to it.”

Boston enters its road trip coming off its first loss of the season, losing 4-3 to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Monday.

It was a disappointing loss for the Bruins, and defenseman Jordan Harris believes the team must be better.

“We have to be better, and we know we can be better,” Harris said.

The Bruins are off to a 3-1 start, good for the best record in the Atlantic Division and tied for the second-best record in the NHL.
