Jaylen Brown Shares Promising Update On Jayson Tatum’s Achilles Rehab
A key storyline for the Boston Celtics this season is whether star forward Jayson Tatum will return from the Achilles injury he suffered in last season’s Eastern Conference semifinals.
A positive atmosphere seems to surround Tatum’s rehabilitation this offseason, and star guard Jaylen Brown believes that Tatum is recovering quickly.
“JT looks great, I’m not going to lie,” Brown said during a livestream on Saturday. “I’ve never seen anybody recover so fast from an Achilles injury or any injury of that level. JT’s been going crazy.”
Brown seems encouraged by Tatum’s recovery. Tatum shared that he has been participating in basketball activities as part of his rehabilitation process.
“I’m in a really good spot. It’ll be five months tomorrow,” Tatum said Sept. 29. “Being able to participate in a basketball workout was one of the more bright spots in this journey. Feeling like a basketball player again.”
Tatum is showing promising signs of a quick recovery by participating in basketball workouts already. He may have a chance to return to action before the postseason tips off in April.
