Champions League: Napoli vs. Sporting CP – probable line-ups and where to watch on TV
Napoli coach Antonio Conte is expected to start Vanja Milinkovic-Savic in goal against Sporting CP and will continue relying on Kevin De Bruyne and Rasmus Hojlund.
It kicks off at 21:00 CET (20:00 BST) at the Stadio Maradona in Naples.
The Partenopei are dealing with a selection crisis in defence as Luca Marianucci and Pasquale Mazzocchi are not part of the UEFA list, Giovanni Di Lorenzo is suspended, Amir Rrahmani and Mathias Olivera are injured.
Leonardo Spinazzola is not fully fit, but is still expected to start out of position as a right-back, replacing Di Lorenzo.
Sky Sport, Gazzetta and other Italian media report that Conte will confirm most of the XI that lost 2-1 against Milan on Sunday, except for the keeper, with Milinkovic-Savic expected to replace Alex Meret, and a centre-back, with Sam Beukema in for Marianucci.
Kevin De Bruyne will get the nod despite his angry reaction at being subbed off against Milan, but Conte has warned that he won’t accept more complaints from him or any of his teammates.
