Video: Christian Pulisic nets a brace for AC Milan vs Udinese in Serie A

Christian Pulisic scored two goals for AC Milan against Udinese in Serie A.

This Saturday’s match held major significance for AC Milan. They are in search of their best form — something that would allow them to seriously contend for the Serie A title. That’s why Christian Pulisic’s goals in the 3-0 victory over Udinese could be key in reinforcing those ambitions.

The 2025–26 season for the Rossoneri began with some inconsistency. They advanced to the second round of the Coppa Italia after defeating Bari, but opened Serie A with a disappointing and unexpected home loss to Cremonese. That result was followed by a bounce-back stretch featuring two consecutive wins: 2–0 vs Lecce and 1–0 against Bologna.

With that momentum, Massimiliano Allegri’s team made up ground in Serie A and climbed the standings, closing in on leaders Juventus. That’s why earning a positive result on the road against Udinese this Saturday was crucial.

Christian Pulisic’s fitness had been a talking point in recent weeks, as he started on the bench in the wins over Lecce and Bologna. But this time, the coach gave him a chance to start — and the American forward delivered.

In the 39th minute, Udinese goalkeeper Razvan Sava spilled a rebound after saving a shot that nearly ended in an own goal, and Pulisic pounced on the loose ball. He didn’t miss from inside the box, scoring the opener with a precise left-footed finish.

The goal in the final minutes of the first half was just the beginning of Pulisic’s significant contributions in the match. Milan went into halftime with the lead, but aware it was a narrow advantage and that they needed to extend it to avoid any surprises.

In the second half, they didn’t take long to achieve that goal. In the 46th minute, Pulisic made a great effort to steal the ball from Jesper Karlstrom, setting up Youssouf Fofana to score the second goal of the match.

Not satisfied with that, the American star appeared again minutes later to make it 3–0. In a fast counterattack, Milan exploited Udinese’s defensive weaknesses, and Andre Rabiot assisted Pulisic, allowing him to complete a brace with a powerful right-footed shot.

Milan climb toward the top

The 3–0 victory over Udinese allowed Milan to move up the standings. They now share second place in Serie A with Napoli, both sitting on 9 points and just one behind leaders Juventus. However, Napoli have a game in hand, and if they beat Pisa on Monday, they will take sole possession of first place.

Christian Pulisic and his teammates must now turn their focus to the Coppa Italia, where they will face Lecce in the second round on Tuesday. After that match, they will face two tough challenges in Serie A, against Napoli and Juventus.
