Three Serie A clubs offered loan deals for Juventus talent Adzic

0 17

Reports on Friday indicate that at least three different Serie A clubs approached Juventus over the course of the summer transfer window with loan proposals for 19-year-old talent Vasilije Adzic, who wrote himself into Bianconeri folklore with his 91st minute winner in the Derby d’Italia last weekend.

Adzic joined Juventus from his local Buducnost Podgorica in the summer of 2024, but after an injury during pre-season, he ended up playing more with the Next Gen side than he did with the first-team last season.

The appointment of Igor Tudor as Juventus head coach at the beginning of the summer has brought more first-team opportunities for the young Montenegro international, although he is still waiting for his first competitive start for the Old Lady.

Still, he appeared off the bench towards the end of Juventus’s recent Derby d’Italia clash against rivals Inter, and ended up scoring the winner in the 91st minute with a speculative, long-range effort to settle the 4-3 thriller.

Which Serie A clubs tried to sign Adzic from Juventus?

Speaking in an interview with TMW, Nurset Jashari, an intermediary in the deal that brough Adzic to Juventus last summer, revealed that ‘three or four’ Serie A clubs stepped forwards with loan proposals over the course of the summer transfer window.

“There was a lot of talk about many different teams who wanted him on loan,” Jashari said.

“There were big teams who asked for information, but during the summer, Juventus never questioned his staying,” Jashari added.

TMW claims that Sassuolo, Palermo and Genoa were among the clubs who lodged enquiries with Juve this summer.
