Kenan Yildiz and Del Piero discuss ‘unstoppable’ goal technique
Kenan Yildiz and Alex Del Piero discussed the technique of scoring sensational curlers into the top corner for Juventus against Borussia Dortmund. ‘This is what makes it unique.’
The Old Lady is becoming accustomed to some wild evenings in Turin, as just days after the 4-3 thriller to beat Inter in Serie A, they came back from 4-2 down to hold Borussia Dortmund 4-4 in the Champions League.
Yildiz curled in the sensational first equaliser for 1-1, then provided the assist for Dusan Vlahovic, who went on to score another before a last-gasp Lloyd Kelly diving header.

It did not go unnoticed that the Number 10 scored a right-foot curler from the edge of the area into the far top corner, precisely like his hero Alessandro Del Piero did against Borussia Dortmund in September 1995.
Del Piero and Kenan Yildiz commune over Juventus goals
As luck would have it, Del Piero was in the Sky Sport Italia studio as a pundit covering the game and they got to speak afterwards.
“I thought his was a bit better,” said Yildiz when shown the footage of the two goals side by side.
“It was an instinctive finish, because I got the ball and saw a space was free where I could aim. Then it went in slow motion into the net. I am happy to have scored such a lovely goal, and to have helped the team.”
Del Piero talked the others through the technique of a goal that became known as ‘Alla Del Piero’ precisely because it was his motif.
“When the ball goes out and comes back in, not just from right to left, but also from up to down. That is when it becomes unstoppable for the goalkeeper, that double effort of the change of trajectory is what makes it unique,” said the Juventus legend.

Kenan Yildiz has taken over the Number 10 jersey and been handed the reins of the Juventus team as their star man.
“In the Club World Cup, I felt really good with the team and the coach. We had started the season well, I am happy to help the team, I always want to do the best for my side. I’m also a little tired now…”
