Serie A Week 3 official line-ups: Hellas Verona vs. Cremonese
Jamie Vardy starts among the substitutes, but could be in line to make his Serie A debut for Cremonese on Monday evening, as they take on Hellas Verona at the Bentagodi.
You can follow the action from tonight’s matches, including Verona-Cremonese and Como-Genoa, on the Football Italia Liveblog.
Cremonese have got off to a flyer in Serie A following their promotion at the end of the 2024-25 campaign. They have won both of their first two matches since returning to the top flight, including a surprise 2-1 victory away against Milan in San Siro in the opening round.
Nicola has opted to make just one change to his team following their 3-2 win against Sassuolo prior to the international break, bringing Federico Bonazzoli back into the starting line-up in place of Franco Vasquez.
Vardy, who joined Cremonese as a free agent after 13 years with Leicester City at the end of the summer transfer window, starts among the substitutes, but is expected to make his Serie A debut on Monday night.
Verona, meanwhile, are coming in off the back of a 4-0 thumping by Lazio prior to the international break.
Paolo Zanetti has opted to make four changes, bringing Martin Frese, Rafik Belghali, Roberto Gagliardini and Gift Orban into his starting XI.
Kick-off is due at 17.30 BST.
