Scarlett Herron Joins Hibs Women!

Hibernian FC Women is delighted to announce the signing of Scarlett Herron from Shamrock Rovers!

The 20-year-old defender joins the Club on a two-year contract for an undisclosed fee. 

Herron joined the Rovers from Athlone Town in July 2023 and has been a regular starter throughout their ongoing 2025 campaign, recently being named their May 2025 Player of the Month. 

The Republic of Ireland Under-19 international will wear number 2 for Hibernian Women. 

Hibs Women’s Team Manager Grant Scott commented: “Scarlett is a talented defender we are excited to welcome into our squad. She is powerful and gives us an extra option in a key position. 

“Despite her young age, she already has vast experience in the Irish league and has made a strong start to the 2025 season there, so we are naturally excited to see how she continues to develop over here in Scotland.”

After signing for the Club, Herron said: “This is a Club with a lot of history. I'm really excited to get going, meet all the girls and get my first game underway.

“It's a really tight schedule coming up thick and fast, so I'm really excited to get my feet on the ground, get on the training pitch and show what I'm about.”
