Report: Inter must sell Thuram to afford Vlahovic
Tuttosport confirms Inter’s interest in Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, but notes that the Serbia international could only join the Nerazzurri if Marcus Thuram leaves.
Tuttosport confirms that Inter have informally sounded out Vlahovic’s availability for a free transfer over the summer, when his contract with Juventus expires.
Inter: Vlahovic in, Thuram out?
Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Fabiana Della Valle had previously reported about Inter’s interest in Vlahovic, but today’s story from Tuttosport comes with further updates.
According to the Turin-based paper, in fact, Inter might not struggle to reach an agreement with Vlahovic, who was already prepared to accept a €6m-a-year salary from Milan this summer.
The issue would come with the demands for a signing bonus of circa €10m and the need to make room in the team.
The Nerazzurri signed Ange-Yoan Bonny from Parma for €23m this summer and kept Francesco Pio Esposito after a two-season loan spell at Spezia.
This means that with Lautaro Martinez not expected to leave, the only option for the Nerazzurri would be to let Marcus Thuram go as long as his €85m clause is paid.
Vlahovic could start vs. Inter
Inter are making their assessments after the end of the summer transfer window and haven’t yet opened formal talks for Vlahovic.
In the meantime, the Serbia international could start against the Nerazzurri on Saturday as Juventus coach Igor Tudor might be forced to cope without Francisco Conceiçao, switching to a 3-4-1-2 system.
