Grant On Derby Disappointment & Inter Away
Hibs Women midfielder Ciara Grant insists Sunday afternoon's Capital Cup defeat will not unsettle the team ahead of a busy period.
Hearts earned a 2-0 victory over Hibernian at Tynecastle Park, with the Hibees unable to take advantage of first half opportunities before Georgia Timms and Jessica Husband netted for the home team.
"They had a lot of possession, but I think in the end we had the more clear-cut chances. I think we were really disappointed to concede a penalty. And then after that we were chasing the game a wee bit and conceded the second.
"But it's still very early in the season. We were in the same situation this time last year. So we're just going to have to regroup, go over a few things and try and fine-tune things going forward.
"It's a long season and there's a lot of teams competing, as it was last year. So, look, every point lost or won matters, but we're not going to dwell on this too much. We're just going to move on to the next game."
The next game is just around the corner, with Internazionale Milano awaiting in the UEFA Women's Europa Cup first qualifying round first leg.
Hibs will fly out to Italy ahead of the match at the beginning of the week, meaning the girls must very quickly move on from the defeat at Tynecastle to best prepare for the Italian side.
"We'll do a bit of analysis on this game, tighten things up for Wednesday.
"It's going to be different football, different country, different style of football.
"We'll spend the night being annoyed at this and then get back to it tomorrow morning."
