Half marathons were my distance, loved them.

I couldn't be happy with 1.50 at 62yo and was training to get down to 1.35. My left hip went which even after a year off along with some expensive sports rehab didn't improve so I took up yoga. I over stretched and tore my left foot plantir and am now after 9 months just moving onto shock wave therapy.

The physio doubts I'll ever do more than a 10k again.

I miss the freedom and peace of running round Warwickshire.

Moral is manage your rest, recovery and nutrition perfectly or your body will react, specially as you get older.

I'll be working hard on leg strength in the gym and have got gloved up a couple of times of month for 50 years so am keeping active and competitive
