Man United outline special plans for academy star after 'keen interest' from Amorim

Manchester United wonderkid JJ Gabriel is already taking giant strides towards fulfilling his incredible potential.

According to BBC Sport, JJ Gabriel has been told he will train with Ruben Amorim’s first-team squad at times this season.

Amorim is reportedly taking a “keen interest” in the progress of the 14-year-old and is being kept updated by his staff.

Gabriel was also invited into the Old Trafford directors’ box for United’s Premier League game against Arsenal.

The prodigy is now a regular with United’s Under-18s, where he is learning under the watchful eye of club legend Darren Fletcher.

He announced himself last season with a stunning debut against Leeds United, coming off the bench to score twice and leave fans buzzing.

Many top clubs across Europe wanted to sign the sensational forward this summer but he opted to stay at Carrington.

Technical director Jason Wilcox personally stepped in, helping Gabriel and his representatives decide that United was the right place for his development.

The Red Devils boast a stunning history of nurturing young talents and helping them make a mark at a senior level.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo are the most recent examples.

Featuring in the first-team training sessions will be highly motivational for the youngster.

While United often integrate academy players into first-team sessions, having someone so young involved feels like a special endorsement of his talent.

Gabriel will not only gain exposure to training with the best players but also study their before-and-after training routines.

Striker Chido Obi is expected to be regularly involved in the first-team squad, allowing Gabriel to get enough opportunities at the youth level.
