Southside High School's new football stadium named the Reef
YOUNGSVILLE, LA. (KLFY) --Southside High School has unveiled its new football stadium name.
The Sharks will now host their home games at The Reef.
"It's exciting. The school has been waiting a long time for a stadium, so it's finally here," said Parker Dies, the team's quarterback.
Head coach Jess Curtis emphasized the importance of having a home-field advantage, stating, "As a head football coach, you understand how important a home-field advantage is."
Since its inception, Southside has played its home games at Teurlings, St. Martinville, and Comeaux high schools.
The new stadium will open on September 5, when the Sharks host the Notre Dame Pioneers.
