Fixtures
- Hibernian Women Vs. Aberdeen Women - Sun, Aug 17th 2025, 16:10
THE LOWDOWN
Sunday’s match will be the girls’ first taste of competitive action this season following three pre-season friendlies and a warm-weather training camp in the United States.
Home victories over SWPL2 clubs Boroughmuir Thistle (7-0) and Spartans (4-0) preceded a great win over Women’s Super League 2 side Durham (4-0) last weekend.
Hannah Jordan and Kirsten Reilly each netted either side of Kathleen McGovern's second-half brace against the English club in the team's final test ahead of this weekend's encounter.
There will be potential Hibernian debuts for both Jordan and Tiree Burchill, who joined the Club this summer from Spartans and Partick Thistle, respectively.
THE VISITORS
Aberdeen finished eighth in the ScottishPower Women’s Premier League last season - taking 41 points from 32 games.
The Dons had a worrying start to their 2024/25 campaign, but improved under incoming head coach Scott Booth and rose up the table to stay clear off the drop.
Our upcoming opponents began pre-season with a convincing 7-1 win against St Johnstone, before drawing 1-1 with Dundee United and losing 2-0 to Glasgow City.
The Hibees won all three meetings with this weekend’s visitors last season, winning 7-0 and 7-1 in the league before defeating the Reds 3-0 in the Sky Sports Cup Semi-Final.
HIBS KIDS
Our SWPL season opener against Aberdeen this weekend is a designated Hibs Kids fixture!
A number of activations will be in place ahead of the Hibees’ first match of the new league campaign as title holders.
Supporters can enjoy a range of activities ahead of kick-off – including face painting, balloon art and My Football Hire’s Football Tricks and Challenge Area, as well as a snack van and Champions-themed cupcakes being available.
Sunshine will also be in attendance and will be around the stadium; meeting fans and taking photographs!
Our memberships are still available to purchase, granting access to our selected Men’s and Women’s Hibs Kids fixtures for £25 (or just £15 for Season Ticket Holders).
