THE LOWDOWN
David Gray’s men head into Sunday’s match in high spirits following Thursday night’s UEFA Conference League 4-3 aggregate victory over Serbian club Partizan at Easter Road Stadium.
After going down 2-0 on the night, Kieron Bowie scored an iconic wonder goal fit for any occasion on the hour mark as the visitors forced the tie into extra time following a late aggregate leveller.
Hibs would find the winner on 100 minutes when Chris Cadden netted on the rebound in extra time to send us through to the Conference League Play-Off round.
On the domestic front, Hibs have taken four points from a possible six to start off the William Hill Premiership season – defeating Dundee and drawing with Kilmarnock, respectively – which puts the Hibees in fourth spot.
Sunday’s match is our first Premier Sports Cup fixture of the season, as we did not participate in the Group Stage phase due to our involvement in European competition.
TEAM NEWS
Jamie McGrath missed our second leg tie against Partizan and will be monitored ahead of Sunday's trip to Livingston.
David Gray welcomed back both Rudi Molotnikov and Nicky Cadden to his matchday squad on Thursday evening, with the latter appearing off the bench as a second-half substitute.
THE VISITORS
Newly-promoted Livingston have made a positive start to both their Premiership and Premier Sports Cup campaigns.
After finishing second in the Championship last season and defeating Ross County in the promotion play-off, the West Lothian outfit made over a dozen transfers – both permanent and temporary – ahead of the 2025/26 season.
Livi would progress from the Premier Sports Cup group stage after defeating East Fife, Brora Rangers and Kelty Hearts, while suffering a narrow 1-0 away defeat to Kilmarnock.
In the league, David Martindale’s side sit third after taking four points from their opening two fixtures.
After drawing 2-2 with Kilmarnock on the opening day, Livi would go on to defeat fellow newly-promoted club Falkirk 3-1 last weekend.
