Report Calabria will have Panathinaikos medical this weekend
Former Milan captain Davide Calabria will fly to Athens tomorrow evening to complete his free transfer to Panathinaikos, signing a three-year contract.
As previously reported, the Italy international had been convinced by the proposal from the Greek club, as it provided him with some long-term stability.
Now there is confirmation his flight will land in Athens on Saturday at 23.00 local time, so the medical tests can be performed on Sunday.
Calabria to begin new adventure with Panathinaikos
Still only 28 years of age, the right-back was a free agent after Milan allowed his contract to run down.
He spent the last six months of the season on loan at Bologna, where he was able to contribute to their victory in the Coppa Italia Final against his former teammates.
It was the only period of his entire career that was not in the Milan jersey, having come through their youth academy to become captain of the senior squad with 272 competitive games.
Calabria won one Serie A title and two editions of the Supercoppa Italiana for the Rossoneri.
