Sancho says yes to Roma as Manchester United set demands
Jadon Sancho has given his approval to a potential move to Roma this summer, as reports from Italy claim that all is left is for Manchester United to negotiate the figures with the Giallorossi.
According to what has been reported by today’s edition of the Corriere dello Sport, Sancho has said yes to a move to the Roman capital, willing to accept a salary of around €5-6 million per season, plus bonuses.
Meanwhile, Roma’s first offer for the English winger was on loan with a €23 million obligation-to-buy. However, the Red Devils would first need to sign the player to a one-year extension, as his contract is due to expire at the end of the 2025-26 season.
After Juventus pursuit, Sancho looks closer to Roma
Roma were not the only Serie A club interested in signing Sancho this summer. Juventus had been strongly linked with the former Borussia Dortmund winger for a majority of the summer and were reportedly waiting on the future of Dusan Vlahovic and Douglas Luiz before pushing harder for Sancho.
Now, the Bianconeri appear to have slept on the deal and Gasperini’s Roma are ready to strike. The Giallorossi are ready to add Sancho alongside fellow Premier League forward Leon Bailey, as the capital club look to strengthen their squad ahead of the start of the Serie A season.
